Korea Goes into Friendly Against Panama on a High After Beating Uruguay

    Korea will face Panama in a friendly in Cheonan, South Chungcheong Province on Tuesday.

    Korea, ranked No. 55 in the world, is fresh from an encouraging 2-1 victory over Uruguay in a friendly in Seoul last week. It was Korea's first ever win against the South American country, currently ranked No. 5.

    Since a draw in the first encounter in 1982, Korea had lost six straight matches against Uruguay.

    The Korean footballers who gathered for training on Sunday looked at ease but determined to win their last home match of the year, the first ever match between Korea and Panama.
