Asiana Airlines announced Wednesday that its inflight meal service is now completely back to normal.
A temporary contract with small caterer Sharp Do&Co Korea that led to a debacle in July was terminated on Wednesday, and now Gate Gourmet Korea is on a long-term contract that should ensure reliable supplies.
GGK was supposed to be the new supplier from June, but a factory fire in March forced Asiana to look around hastily for a caterer to fill the gap.
But Sharp Do&Co was incapable of handling the volume, with the result that many flights were delayed or no meals served at all.
