The world's best shooters gathered in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province for the International Shooting Sports Federation (ISSF) World Shooting Championships, which run until Sept. 15.
The opening ceremony of the championships was held last week, with the 4,000-seat gymnasium packed with fans.
Held every four years, the ISSF World Shooting Championships are considered one of the five major global sporting events along with the Olympics and the World Cup.
This is the first time in 40 years that the championships are being hosted in Asia, the last being the 1978 event in Seoul. Almost 3,500 athletes from 91 countries, including 225 from South Korea and 12 from North Korea, are competing.
