Korean gamers are getting ready to win a gold medal at the Asian Games in Indonesia.

Korea is a powerhouse in eSports, which is a demonstration sport at this year's Asian Games. Medals won in the competition will not be counted in an official medal tally this time.

A total of six games including "League of Legends," "Arena of Valor," "Hearthstone" and "Clash Royale" were chosen for the debut matches. Seven Korean gamers will compete with those from 18 counties, starting this Sunday.

eSports is likely to become an official medal event at the 2022 Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. But the plan has been criticized because computer games are made by private companies, and the Olympic Charter traditionally does not consider mechanically-propelled or purely mental activities to be sports disciplines.
