North Korea is registered to compete in the World Shooting Championships here in late August. A 22-member team consisting of 12 athletes and 10 officials will cross the border to take part in the event in Changwon, South Gyeongsang Province.
The delegation led by Kim Song-guk, a 2016 Rio Olympic bronze medalist, will compete in 14 disciplines including the 10-m air pistol.
This will be the second time this year that North Korean athletes are taking part in an international sporting event in South Korea after the ITTF Korea Open in Daejeon early this month.
