Samsung Electronics has been ranked the world's 14th largest publicly traded company, up one notch from last year, according to the latest Forbes Global 2000 list.
The ranking is based on sales, profits, assets and market value.
Samsung came 11th in terms of sales, fourth in profits, 114th in assets and 12th in market value. The conglomerate, which has climbed eight spots on the list since 2014, is the only Korean company in the top 100. Hyundai Motor was placed 147th and chipmaker SK Hynix 200th.
Industrial and Commercial Bank of China topped the list, followed by China Construction Bank and JP Morgan Chase.
