Samsung showcased a series of its latest big-screen QLED TVs in Seoul on Tuesday.
The electronics giant said it will roll out 17 premium large-sized QLED TVs this year -- 11 models ranging from 55 to 88 inches in the first half and six 85-inch models in the second half.
"We aim to extend our lead in the big-screen TV market with our latest QLED TVs," said Han Jong-hee, the head of Samsung's visual display business. "They're designed to meet soaring demand for large-sized TVs. We expect to sell over 1.8 million of them in the global market."
The high-resolution TVs also boasts smart features, including news and weather displays even when the device is not in use. Digital content like videos and audio files are also available on the device.
Samsung will also cut the prices of its TVs by 20 percent on average, along with offering an improved warranty that extends free repairs to five years.
