President Moon Jae-in will meet North Korean leader Kim Jong-un at the Peace House in the truce village of Panmunjom on April 27, the two sides decided on Thursday.
Senior officials from the two Koreas met at Panmunjom and also discussed the agenda of the summit, including denuclearization, but decided not to include it in a joint statement afterwards.
Another round of working-level talks early next week will discuss details of wording that they were unable to iron out.

The official [North] Korean News Agency reported the agreement the same day but did not mention the exact date and venue.
The last inter-Korean summit was held more than a decade ago when then President Roh Moo-hyun met Kim's father, Kim Jong-il in Pyongyang in October 2007.
