Ryu Hyun-jin of the Los Angeles Dodgers had his first game in spring training against the Chicago White Sox in Arizona on Monday.
He pitched 2⅔ innings, giving up three hits and one run, and threw 36 pitches, of which 22 were strikes.
He was supposed to start against the San Diego Padres last week but it was canceled as the team caught Norovirus. Ryu skipped practice for two days to recover.
He seemed to make a good start overall, upping chances of getting ready to start in the first week of the regular season. "I feel like I'm back on track," Ryu said after the game.
