Striker Kim Shin-wook scored the winning goal, heading in a cross from Lee Seung-gi in the 33rd minute.

Kim has performed well in recent matches including the three friendlies Korea played while training in Turkey.

The 196-cm-tall striker led Korea to a 1-0 victory with a header in a friendly against Moldova on Jan. 27, and headed in two goals in the second friendly against Jamaica last Tuesday, which ended in a 2-2 draw.

In December last year, he scored two goals in the final match of the EAFF E-1 Football Championship, where Korea beat Japan 4-1 and defended the regional title.

The footballers return home on Monday.
