Hyundai revealed its latest Santa Fe SUV in Seoul on Tuesday ahead of its release next month.
With the release of the totally revamped version after about six years, the automaker aims to drive up sales to reclaim its lead in the midsize SUV market.
Its sales fell 33 percent last year, with just 51,661 units sold, widening a gap with Kia's top-selling Sorento SUV. Hyundai hopes the revamped version will entice customers.
The latest version of the five-seater SUV has a longer body with a large grille and slimmer headlights and offers more legroom as well as wider outward visibility.
The SUV also comes with enhanced safety features with several state-of-the-art technologies such as warnings on approaching objects from the rear when a car stops.
Pre-orders for the new SUV start Feb. 7.
