If you plan to visit or to leave Korea, please note that Incheon International Airport opens its brand-new Terminal 2 this Thursday.

From this date, all the passengers flying Korean Air, Delta Air Lines and Air France-KLM through Incheon will be using the new terminal. All the other airlines remain at Terminal 1.

Terminal 1 and 2 are located on opposite sides of the airport and separated by the runways. Buses and trains from Seoul and the suburbs stop at both terminals.

Outbound passengers are advised to check which terminal they are flying from before they head to the airport.

Incheon says it expects to see some 800 passengers going to the wrong terminals during the initial period. Chaos already began last week when 158 travelers went to Terminal 2 without realizing it had yet to open or got off the last stop of the subway, which has now changed from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2.

Incheon airport does run underground shuttle trains connecting the terminal buildings, but they are available only to transfer passengers.
