Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur led the team's 4-0 victory over Everton on Saturday, scoring the game opener and bagging an assist.

With the victory, the team has been undefeated in its past five games, holding on to fifth place in the English Premier League.

In the 26th minute, Son delivered a solid right footer into the net off a pass from Serge Aurier near the penalty area, extending his home-game scoring streak to five matches since Dec. 9 last year. Son is only the second player in the club's history to achieve this, after Jermain Defoe in 2004.

Son made a hand gesture indicating the number 5 after scoring the goal. It was his eighth league goal and 11th for the season, with nine of them being scored at the Spurs' home ground at Wembley. Son bagged an assist two minutes into the second half when his shot attempt found its way to Harry Kane.

Son was the game's MVP. Son is "showing he's more mature than last season and his performances are helping the team a lot," said Spurs manager Mauricio Pochettino. "Today, everyone can see he's more reliable, has more belief, more confidence in every game."

In Germany, meanwhile, Koo Ja-cheol of FC Augsburg scored his first goal of the season against Hamburg. Koo scored the game-winning goal in the last official minute of the first half.
