Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur has been named the 56th most valuable player in the big European leagues, according to a football study center.
The International Centre for Sports Studies Football Observatory released a list on Monday that ranked players by their transfer value. It accounted for age, position, club value, contract duration, international status and performance.
Son was valued at 72.6 million euros, up 61.7 percent from 44.8 million euros a year earlier. He climbed 13 spots and was the highest-ranked Asian on the list.
He has been showing strong performance with 21 goals scored in the last season and 10 goals so far this season.
Neymar of Paris Saint-Germain topped the list at 213 million euros, followed by Lionel Messi of FC Barcelona and Harry Kane of Tottenham. Cristiano Ronaldo nosedived to 49th from 7th, with his age dragging him down despite his incredible performance on the field.
