Korean-American anchor Eun Yang will come to her mother country to broadcast the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang for NBC, which owns the broadcasting rights for the quadrennial global sporting event.
Yang is a morning news anchor for WRC-TV, the local NBC television affiliate in Washington, D.C.
Yang was born in Seoul and emigrated to the U.S. with her parents when she was 3 years old. She majored in broadcast journalism at the University of Maryland.
In 2013, she received a National Capital Chesapeake Bay Chapter Emmy award, which is given to those who have done excellent work in the television industry in Maryland, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
