Fines, penalties and legal costs can be paid with a credit card from Sunday, the Supreme Prosecutors' Office said on Wednesday.
Payment can be made at the relevant administrative office, and if the card is in someone else's name, the cardholder has to accompany the person who is liable.
It will also be possible to choose a credit card installment plan. Currently those subject to fines or charged legal costs had to pay cash through electronic billing or by online transfer.
Those who failed to pay up in time due to economic difficulties were put on an all-points bulletin or had to do community service in lieu.
"Accepting credit cards will be helpful to cash-strapped people or small business owners because they can stagger payments," a Supreme Prosecutors Office spokesman said.
