Three members of Girls' Generation are deserting the all-female supergroup.
Seo-hyun, Soo-young and Tiffany did not renew their contracts with talent mill SM Entertainment, which manufactured the band, the agency said Monday.
"Girls' Generation are valuable to us and their fans," the agency said. "Although three members are leaving the band, the others are not going to disband and are discussing future plans."
Since they debuted as a nine-member group in 2007, Girls' Generation have released a number of hits and been considered one of the best acts on the Korean music scene. When Jessica left in 2014 they continued with eight members.
