Bangtan Boys, also known as BTS, released a new mini album on Monday that has already sold 1.12 million copies in pre-orders.

Bangtan Boys are the global face of K-pop at the moment, winning fans all over the world.

The seven-boy group became the first Korean act to win the Top Social Artist award at the Billboard Music Awards in the U.S. in May, and were named one of Rolling Stone magazine's "10 New Artists You Need to Know" in July.

At a press event for the album's release, they said they are aiming for Billboard's Hot 100 chart with the new album.

So far only two Korean singers have achieved the feat -- Psy, who made it to No. 2 with "Gangnam Style," and Wonder Girls, who reached No. 76.

K-pop insiders believe that is an achievable goal, as they have a solid fan base around the world, especially in Asia and South America.
