Top Golfers Lining up to Play First-Ever PGA Event in Korea

    The world's top golfers will gather in Korea next month for the first U.S. PGA Tour event to be held in the country. They include Korean golfers Choi Kyung-ju, Bae Sang-moon and An Byeong-hun.

    CJ Group announced Thursday that it will hold the CJ Cup on Jeju Island from Oct. 19 through 22.

    "The tournament will be a memorable event for Korean fans and young players as they have a chance to see a PGA event in their homeland for the first time," it said.

    Choi and Bae have accepted sponsor's invitations while world No. 71 An earned a spot based on his ranking.

    Justin Thomas of the U.S. and Jason Day and Adam Scott of Australia will also compete in the tournament.
