Lee Jung-su, two-time Olympic gold medalist in short track speed skating, has begun training for long track speed skating to keep his Olympic dream alive.
The skater did not make the cut in the national team tryout in April for the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang.
"Lee is currently training in Salt Lake City, Utah, with skaters like Lee Seung-hoon and Kim Bo-reum with an aim to compete in mass-start events and long distance races in Pyeongchang," said an official at the Korea Skating Union on Wednesday.
The national team tryout for speed skating will take place in mid-October this year.
