The prices of semiconductors, one of Korea's key exports, rose to a record in June.
According to the Bank of Korea on Monday, the export price index for memory chips stood at 48.79, up about 14 percent from 42.72 in December last year, reaching the highest level in two-and-a-half years largely due to the global economic recovery.
The index benchmarks 2010 prices at 100.
But the overall index was down some two percent over the same period.
