Ryu Hyun-jin of the Los Angeles Dodgers suffered his sixth loss of the season but will remain in the starting lineup.
Ryu pitched seven innings at home game against the Washington Nationals on Monday, giving up seven hits including one home run and allowing four runs. The Dodgers produced two runs towards the end of the game but it was not enough to prevent Ryu from a loss.
Despite the loss, he managed to throw his fastest pitch of the season at 93.8 mph and lasted seven innings, his longest outing of the season.
Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said after the game that Ryu will continue to start.The club's starting rotation has a few holes at the moment, with Alex Wood on the disabled list, and Maeda Kenta unable to go the distance in recent games.
