Final-Year Healthcare Costs Soar

    Healthcare costs in the last year of people's life has more than tripled over the last decade, according to a report published by the National Health Insurance Service on Sunday.

    In 2015, an adult over 40 or more spent W15.95 million in the final year of their life, which translates to W1.33 million per month (US$1=W1,130).

    The costs have risen sharply from W4.70 million a year or W391,000 per month in 2005.
