Another presumed human bone fragment was found Thursday in the wreck of the ferry Sewol, which was pulled into dry dock last month.

Earlier, workers found two bone fragments in mud on the port side on the fourth floor in the stern.

The latest fragment was found in the same area, which houses cabins where eight girl students of Danwon High School were sleeping when the ferry sank in April 2014.

The bone is now being closely examined at the National Forensic Service.

The DNA tests will probably take a month. At the request of the families of victims whose bodies have not yet been recovered, the ministry decided not to disclose what part of the body the bone came from and how large it is.
