Portrait of a Modern Korean Marriage

      In 2015, the average age at first marriage for both men and women surpassed 30 for the first time, with 32.6 years for men and 30.0 for women. The main reasons it is going up are a difficult job market for young people and the rising cost of housing.

      Will they be happier once they are married? A recent survey suggests that four out of 10 married people spend less than half an hour on having a conversation with their spouse, and long working hours and overtime on weekends are cited as the main obstacle.
