Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur, who has spent more time on the bench than on the pitch this season, scored a hat trick and made an assist in Spurs' 6-0 demolition of Millwall in their FA Cup quarterfinal at White Hart Lane on Sunday.
Son put Tottenham up 2-0 with his first goal in the 41st minute, and added two more in the second half, one in the 54th minute and the other in injury time. In the 79th minute, Vincent Janssen scored off an assist from Son.
It was Son's first start since Spurs' FA Cup match against Fulham on Feb. 19.
Son was clearly the pick of both teams on Sunday, with football stats site WhoScored.com rating his performance 10 out of 10. Son extended his Korean record for the most goals in an English season to 14.
Meanwhile, Son has been included in Korea's roster for the final round of Asian qualifiers for the 2018 World Cup in Russia, but will have to sit out an away match against China on March 23 after accumulating two yellow cards in previous matches.
He will next be available to play in Korea's home match against Syria on March 28.
