Amy Yang won the Honda LPGA Thailand on Sunday. Yang, who made her LPGA debut in 2008, carded a record 22-under 266 at the Siam Country Club in Chonburi, finishing five strokes ahead of compatriot and runner-up Ryu So-yeon.

It was her second win in the event and her third LPGA Tour title.

The tournament was interrupted by heavy rain in the second round. After finishing tied for first place in the first round, Yang kept her lead throughout the event and broke the previous tournament record of 21-under set by Suzann Pettersen and Ai Miyazato.

"I tried not to lose my patience to the end," she said. "I'm so happy that I won the title while my parents, who always support me, were watching."
