Former UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon is considering an offer to teach at Harvard University. A source close to Ban told the Chosun Ilbo on Friday that Harvard made an offer late last year, before his tenure at the UN ended.
"The offer was put on the back burner as Ban returned to Korea to run for the presidency. But Harvard made the offer again after he decided not to run and he is considering it," the source added.
The offer is for a position at the John F. Kennedy School of Government and comes with an office, research funding, house and car.
"The program invites former heads of state to teach and the tenure can be extended if he wants," the source said.
