Danish police will question the daughter of President Park Geun-hye's longtime crony Choi Soon-sil starting Monday.

Chung Yoo-ra was arrested in the northern Danish city of Aalborg on Jan. 1.

Danish prosecutors have spent last week reviewing an extradition request from the Korean independent counsel investigating the massive corruption scandal surrounding Park.

Chung faces charges of money laundering, bribery, and illegal admission to Ewha Womans University. Prosecutors handed Aalborg police a list of questions, and police are expected to interrogate her for three days.

Korean residents in Denmark and Sweden hold signs calling for the extradition of Chung Yoo-ra in the Danish city of Aalborg on Saturday.

Meanwhile, Korean residents in Denmark and Sweden staged a candlelight protest in front of the detention center where she is being held to call for her extradition.

About two dozen protesters shouted slogans urging Danish authorities to make a quick decision to extradite her.

Another protest the following day was attended by Korean students from the U.K. and tourists from Korea.
