Park Sung-hyun Sweeps KLPGA Awards

    Park Sung-hyun, who will compete in the LPGA Tour next year, swept the KLPGA awards ceremony at a hotel in Seoul on Tuesday.

    Park, who topped the money list with W1.33 billion this season, received awards for the most wins in a year with seven, and for the lowest scoring average (US$=W1,171). Park was also chosen as the most popular golfer as well as the best player decided by a vote by golf journalists.

    "I'd like to express my gratitude to my fans who always support me," Park said.

    Special awards were given to Park In-bee who won the gold medal at the 2016 Rio Summer Olympics in August, Pak Se-ri who served as a coach for the women's golf team at the Olympics, and Chun In-gee who won the Rookie of the Year award and Vare Trophy in the LPGA this season.
