Hwang Jae-gyun of the Lotte Giants showed off his batting skills in front of a score of Major League Baseball scouts at a 90-minute event in Bradenton, Florida on Monday, in a bid to realize his desire to play in the U.S.
He batted three rounds and 14 out of 24 balls were slugged over the fence, enough to impress the scouts there.
Hwang also boasted his fast running skills to prove his versatility fit for either infield or outfield positions.
Hwang had his best season here this year since he debuted as a professional baseball player in 2007 with a batting average of 0.335, 27 home runs and 113 RBIs.
