The exterior of Korea's tallest building, the new 123-story Lotte World Tower in southern Seoul, has been completed.
Lotte said Monday it completed the exterior of the 555 m-tall building by installing 42,000 windows. The site was chosen 30 years ago but construction did not start until 2010.
Ambitions to make it one of the world's tallest buildings have since been nixed by even bigger skyscrapers elsewhere.
The Lotte World Tower can resist a massive 9.0 earthquake and strong winds of 80m/s. Lotte is planning to open it by year's end.
