Son Heung-min of Tottenham Hotspur in the English Premier League surpassed Park Ji-sung's record for the most goals scored in the UEFA Champions League by a Korean.
In Tuesday's match against CSKA Moscow in Russia, Son scored the game winning goal in the 71st minute.
It was Son's sixth goal of his career in the Champions League, moving ahead of Park's five.
Son had scored five goals while he was playing for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany's Bundesliga in the 2014-15 season.
Park, who is now retired, recorded five goals over seven seasons.
