Kang Jung-ho of the Pittsburgh Pirates was put on the 15-day disabled list on Saturday.
Kang injured his left shoulder sliding headfirst into second base in the eighth inning of the game against the Miami Marlins. His recovery is expected to take two to four weeks.
Kang's injury takes the number of Korean baseball players in MLB on the disabled list to five, the others being Choo Shin-soo of the Texas Rangers, Park Byung-ho of the Minnesota Twins, Ryu Hyun-jin of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Lee Dae-ho of the Seattle Mariners.
