Actress Lee Chung-ah has played a plethora of different characters over her 10-year acting career and now she is preparing for more to broaden her horizons.
This year alone, she appeared in a couple of TV series such as "Vampire Detective" and "Lucky Romance."
"I'm a kind of person who is very detail-oriented and painstaking. Even when I'm confident about my role and acting, I always think about how viewers would feel about it," Lee said. "But I try to maintain an objective point of view, even for myself. My goal is to act for life and to enjoy it. I do not want to fear mistakes as I believe I would further grow through trial and error."
"I tend to be tough on myself. I've never felt satisfied with my own acting and won’t ever probably. But now I know I am getting better and will continue to get better. So I can unburden myself," she added.
Lee is now thinking of starting new challenging leisure sports like indoor rock climbing to prepare her for possible future roles.
"If I simply settled for what is given, I might have missed many chances to challenge myself and broaden my acting spectrum," Lee said. "I wish to try more genres like action and fantasy. These days I am practicing shooting and learning Chinese. I want to be ready for any role."
