The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette on Tuesday identified the woman who had accused Kang Jung-ho of the Pittsburgh Pirates of sexual assault as a 23-year-old Caucasian.
The newspaper cited the police report as saying the incident happened in a hotel in Chicago on June 17, and the woman did not go to a hospital until two days later.
"While being treated... [the victim] refused info for report at that time... she did not initially cooperate," the report read.
The woman did file a formal complaint on June 29, 12 days after the incident. According to police, she claimed to have remembered that Kang sexually assaulted her while she was drifting in and out of consciousness. She regained full conscious in a taxi.
The report also said she sustained minor injuries.
Kang's agent declined to comment.
