Over 154,000 Koreans living abroad will be able to vote in the general elections in April. That's nearly 8 percent of the estimated 1.98 million eligible voters living abroad. The figure is up 25 percent from the 2012 general elections.

According to the National Election Commission, an overwhelming majority (37,000) of registered overseas voters are in the U.S., followed by Japan and China.

Overseas voters will be able to head to embassies and legations offices in 198 areas worldwide to cast their ballots between Wednesday and April 4 ahead of the general elections on April 13.
