Oh Dal-soo, made famous by his supporting roles in a string of box-office hits such as "The Thieves," "Ode to My Father" and "Veteran," has landed his first leading role.
Oh will star in "The Great Actor," a comedy about an obscure actor who struggles to be a movie star.
"While filming, I was able to reflect on things from my past," Oh said. "There were many scenes that reminded me of the moments that I shared with co-actors and friends when I first started acting."
"I like Oh and his acting style," said Seok Min-woo who directed the film. "It was regretful for me to see him mostly playing a small part, so I wanted to make a film in which he appears from the beginning to the end."
The film will hit local theaters sometime in March.
