McDonald's will open its first store in Korea that serves premium hamburgers and draft beer.
The company said Sunday that the premium restaurant will open in Seongnam, Gyeonggi Province next Monday with a seating capacity of 90.
If it succeeds, McDonald's plans to open similar stores in Gangnam and Sinchon, areas popular with young people in Seoul.
McDonald's already sells premium burgers at some 20 of its restaurants across the country. Customers can build their own burgers from selected ingredients for around W7,000.
The new store will be Asia's first McDonald's outlet that sells beer.
McDonald's began selling beer in Germany in 1971, while beer and wine are available in some of its French stores.
