Seven migrant workers who worked in Korea from 2010 has joined the Islamic State after they left the country, the National Intelligence Service said Wednesday.
The NIS was briefing the ruling Saenuri Party on anti-terrorism measures.
Saenuri Party lawmaker Lee Chul-woo quoted the NIS as saying it expelled 51 foreign nationals who are suspected of links to international terrorist organizations including ISIS since 2010.
"There are some 155,000 people from 57 Muslim countries in Korea, and Korea is not a safe place from terrorism," Lee claimed.
