Amore Pacific's premium skincare brand Sulwhasoo posted annual sales of over W1 trillion this year (US$1=W1,174).
Amore Pacific on Wednesday said Sulwhasoo's sales both in and outside of Korea were W800 billion last year, and this year saw a 25-percent increase.
The driving force is the Chinese market.
Sulwhasoo was launched in Hong Kong in 2004 and in mainland China in 2011. The product uses ingredients that are highly regarded in oriental medicine such as peony, foxglove, and lily, and this appealed to Chinese consumers.
The company has consistently posted two-digit growth in the Chinese market.
