Monday will likely be the coldest day this winter, with the cold snap persisting amid strong winds across the country.
Temperatures dropped further and strong winds are adding their chill effect to already freezing conditions, the Korea Meteorological Administration said Monday.
Temperatures dropped to -9 degrees Celsius in Seoul in the morning and will rise no higher than zero during the day.
The cold snap will last until Tuesday morning and the weather will return to normal around late afternoon.
