Baseball player Oh Seung-hwan has admitted gambling overseas in an hours-long interrogation, prosecutors said Wednesday.
Prosecutors already heard from a member of a gang running a casino in Macau that Oh had been a client.
Oh and teammate Lim Chang-yong allegedly bought hundreds of millions of won worth of poker chips at a gambling den in Macau in late November last year.
Lim was summoned by prosecutors on gambling charges last month. Prosecutors are considering indicting both without detention since the amount they gambled is not huge.
Korean law uniquely bans gambling overseas even in countries where it is perfectly legal.
