Korea beat the Dominican Republic 10-1 at a match in Taoyuan, Taiwan in the Premier 12, a tournament organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation involving 12 top-ranked countries in the sport.
Korea managed just one hit in the first six innings, but came back from a 1-0 deficit when Lee Dae-ho hit a two-run homerun off Miguel Fermin in the seventh inning.
Korean batters then picked up the pace and added five more runs in the eighth inning with five hits, and three more runs in the ninth inning.

Korea, Mexico, the U.S. and Venezuela are tied for second place with one win and one loss, while the Dominican Republic is in last with two losses.
Korea will face Venezuela at the same venue on Thursday.
