Korea ended a series of exhibition games with Cuba with one win and one loss, ahead of the Premier 12, a tournament organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation involving 12 top-ranked countries in the sport.

Having won the first match 6-0 on Wednesday, Korea lost the second 3-1 on Thursday in Seoul.

Pitcher Woo Kyu-min (left) kneels due to an injury on his right hand during an exhibition game against Cuba in Seoul on Thursday.

Korea got off to a shaky start, giving up two runs in the first inning. Starting pitcher Woo Kyu-min surrendered the two runs while giving up three hits.

After being struck in the right hand by a ball off the bat of Cuban slugger Yulieski Gourriel, Woo was transferred to a hospital for a closer checkup, but the injury was revealed to be a simple bruise.

Korean players leave for Sapporo in Japan on Friday and will face Japan in the opening game of the championship there on Sunday.
