Hyundai will release a completely revamped version of its flagship sedan Equus in December, the automaker said on Tuesday.
The carmaker hopes the new Equus will help improve its sluggish sales amid competition with other large sedans of imported brands such as the recently released BMW 7-series and Mercedes-Benz S-Class.
The new Equus will sport a 3.3-liter turbo gasoline engine, making it 15 percent more fuel efficient than its predecessor.
First released seven years ago and partly modified in 2009, the Equus sold over 10,000 units a year until last year.
