An anonymous fan of singer Sean donated W100 million to help build a rehabilitation hospital for children, the Purme Foundation said on Monday (US$1=W1,125).

The charity, which is dedicated to helping people with disabilities, said that the fan expressed his wish to follow the star's example and donate money.

The donator reportedly called Sean and identified himself just as a businessman. He said that he is a fan, and that he was impressed by his efforts to help children in need and he wanted to contribute. Soon after the call, he deposited W100 million into the charity's account.

The fan decided to join Sean after learning that he took part in triathlon events for charity.

Sean finished the 51.5-km triathlon twice and donated W130 million, equivalent to W1,000 for every meter he ran. He has donated more than W300 million to the charity since his appointment as a goodwill ambassador in 2011.

Sean is a member of hip-hop duo Jinusean and husband of actress Jung Hye-young.
