Clear autumn weather is forecast for this weekend, making it a perfect time for outings ahead of Chuseok or Korean Thanksgiving.

On Saturday and Sunday, it will be cool in Seoul in the morning at 17 degrees Celsius but warm during the daytime, with temperatures reaching 27 to 28 degrees.

The Korea Meteorological Administration forecast that this year's autumn foliage will be seen in its full splendor a day or two earlier than in previous years.

Fall colors can be seen first at Mt. Seorak on Sept. 25, spreading to the central regions around Oct. 14 and the south between Oct. 7 and 29. Normally the leaves turn when nocturnal lows fall below 5 degrees.
