U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry, who arrived in Korea Sunday, meets Foreign Minister Yun Byung-se on Monday after visiting President Park Geun-hye in Cheong Wa Dae.
Kerry will discuss Park's itinerary for her visit to the U.S. next month. Recent developments in North Korea, particularly Seoul’s worries about a new submarine-launched ballistic missile the North is developing, are also likely to feature on the agenda.
The last time Kerry visited Korea was in February of 2014.
Earlier, Kerry denounced North Korea’s missile launch as "unacceptable" and called on Pyongyang to abide by its international obligations.
In a joint press conference in Beijing on Saturday with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi, Kerry said North Korea's nuclear and missile programs threaten regional stability.
