A group of South Korean activists resumed sending balloons carrying propaganda leaflets and DVDs of the "The Interview" across the inter-Korean border on Thursday. This comes after a previous attempt was thwarted by police last week.
Pyongyang has condemned the activists, vowing to take revenge.
South Korea's unification ministry says it cannot stop them as the leaflet launches are an example of freedom of speech.
"The Interview" is a satirical U.S. movie depicting the fictional assassination of North Korean leader Kim Jong-un.
